Frightened Rabbit sing very emotionally twisted songs with a thick Scottish accent. Singing with strong Scottish accents seems to be a thing lately (see also Glasvegas, The Futureheads).

I think “Midnight Organ Fight” means sex. Which is fitting because it seems every song on this album is about sex, probably sex the protagonist shouldn’t be having.

Great anthemic lines include “You’re the shit and I’m knee-deep in it” and “It takes more than fucking someone you don’t know to keep yourself warm.”

This seems like the perfect college album, which I mean in the best way possible.
